let me also add, the pac vs ugas fight was a lot closer than people think...

Manny did a number on Bonehaid Broner and Thurman, after being signed with Haymon. Those were the conditions required by TBE TUE, saying he'd give Manny the rematch if he did so, but reneged on his word as he did for the whole of his choreographed MGM career.

So Manny being Manny wanted the next best who was actually the best welter, ie precrash Spence. Ugas was just a fill in after Spence crashed out of that fight. Manny should've never taken that fight, but obligated by contract to Haymon who cashed him out to be rid of him.

Precrash Spence probably carefully outpoints Manny like he did to Mikey. Postcrash Spence too off balance to beat Manny who was maybe the fastest, quickest welter in history.

He would have beaten him but it would have been pretty close imo. Spence’s style is tailor made for Pac. Prime welterweight Pac would have made quick work of Spence. Mid round destruction

Someone at 42 with 2 year layoff is always a recipe for disaster no matter who you are. It’s bad enough to have that kind of long ass layoff in your prime let alone at 42.

Spence would batter pac at that stage of his career, maybe the one that beat thurman can win or survive, but he obviously got fatigued in the later rounds where spence is usually the strongest. Don’t let crawford’s easy win over spence fool you, he is at his prime with the style and size to counter spence.
