Newly crowned undisputed welterweight champion Terence Crawford is receiving his flowers from peers far and wide. Immediately after dominating Errol Spence Jr. with three knockdowns en route to a ninth-round stoppage win, fellow undisputed champion and super middleweight king Canelo Alvarez chimed in on "Bud's" spectacular performance.

Who says he’s out? Shyt, that ass whooping may have just punched Spence’s ticket to being Canelo’s opponent for 5 de Mayo 2024.

Spence, Jr. will bounce back. That is what warriors in the sport of Boxing do.

One loss should not define who you are as a man and as a fighter. It was a lesson learnt for sure, hopefully, this will progress him further to learn other fundamentals to up his game. He'll be back.

Quiksilva, I like your comments but, brutally, it is gonna be hard to come back from that because Bud just was levels above Errol.

Spence vs Thurman (PBC will make it exciting) then feed him to Canelo

Terence is a great generational talent but it sucks that there isn't anyone in a near by division that is on par with him to make a really exciting fight. All the flaws I saw in Spence were easily exploited by Crawford. Not taking anything away from Crawford because only a small amount of active fighters can do this, but just saying it would be nice if we could get another generational talent in there with Crawford.

Canelo had GGG and I think a lot of us were hoping Spence would have some of that GGG durability at the very least but the guy folded so damn quick.. I'm happy for Crawford but also feel disappointed the fight wasn't closer. Now it seems like there really isn't another proven generational talent for at least three weight divisions away which makes this dream completely unrealistic especially because Crawford is already 35.

If I was managing bud I obviously would try to line up Crawford vs Mel next but I'm pretty sure this will be just as disappointing assuming Mel will be mostly likely coming out of a war and potentially KO loss from Canelo. If that is the case it will be the easiest undisputed win ever. Which again great for Crawfords legacy but unfortunately not for trying to find Crawford a worthy opponent.

If Crawford moves up to 154 that would still be two divisions away from Canelo so I wouldn't expect that to ever happen, but it would be nice. Even if Canelo agreed to fight at 160, I don't thing Crawford could get there.

The only other generational talent on his way up that is near by is Teo. Maybe if Crawford can stay at 147 Teo can meet him there and they both could make a lot of money. Soo.. Damn I hope this can happen at the very least. Apart from those two, I don't think there is any other fighter that would come close to giving Crawford a better fight.

But after all that...the last thing that is bothering me about last night is that Kavaliauskas and Benevidez give Crawford a better fight than Spence...

Yup! This is exactly what CCC will opt for next - someone he thinks he can beat.

Call me crazy, tell me IDK **** about boxing, whatever... I'd give Crawford the edge to beat CCC too.

It was a sparring session for Bud, a complete beat down for Spence Jr… so where does the lesson come in? Hopefully Spence doesn’t have neurological issues after taking those head shots -
