Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on Pacquiao/Cotto undercard

With the inability of Top Rank to match up Humberto Soto with Edwin Valero due to Valero's visa problems, plan B is apparently now in effect as it appears that Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (40-0-1, 30 KOs) will now be on the card to take on Troy Rowland (25-2, 7 KOs), according to Dan Rafael of ESPN.com.

Rafael reports that the fight will be the co-featured bout of the evening when Manny Pacquiao takes on Miguel Cotto on November 14 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Daniel Santos will also make a mandatory title defense against Yuri Foreman.

Also on the card as we had previously reported, Alfonso Gomez will take on Jesus Soto-Karass in what will likely be a fun to watch slugfest.

Why are they still clinging on to Chavez Jr like this for? Sometimes I even forget he's a 154lb fighter considering other 154 guys are making moves.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, he gets in there with a ****er...it's lights out.
