BUD was the stiff jabber, throwing short chopping counters at close range, and walking Errol down most of the time. Don't write Errol off just because he lost so badly to an ATG. Spence will win many fights at 154. For too long he has been a weight bully at 147. Let's reserve judgment until he has had 3 or so fights at 154. The only fight for Crawford now is Boots then retirement or retire now, on 40-0. The old adage is true: There are levels in boxing and Bud was levels above. Spence was/is still the 2d best welterweight until Boots or even Thurman beats him should he fight at 147 but it's just that Bud was so dominant - let us not forget Errol's unbeaten history. This also puts the fights against Porter in perspective.
    I really hate that term

    weight bully

he was a welterweight and put himself through hell to make 147 which absolutely has a negative impact on him during fights. I think we are going to see Spence have some real success at 154

Spence has not been the same since the car crash. His body language was off tonight. He either needs to retire or start taking boxing more seriously. You can't be inactive and think you can compete against a true pound for pound king.
100%, Spence was arrogant/****** enough to think that he could face someone of Crawford's caliber...while being very inactive. Crawford made the right decision by fighting Avanesyan.

I think boots does better then Spence did based on the speed and power of boots. I have to go with Crawford based on the experience and the fact that I think we may have had a generational type talent that never was truly tested but tonight we saw. I’d love to see boots and Crawford fight. Styles make fights and that’s a closer match due to boot’s athleticism

He already sounds like Terry Norris at the end of his career. Not sure where he goes after that sort of beating even at higher weights. As for Crawford, he’s found a home, the sports world saw what he did tonight. Minus Errol, I wonder what his future options will be..I suspect we will see him in with the Charlo’s at jr middle or perhaps eventually with tszyu
I don't see any other reason for TC to stay at WW. He doesn't have a lot of fights left so going after Charlo might be the only option good enough to keep him hungry. As far as Spence, hopefully he's ok, would hate to see someone like him not healthy

no he didn't, he looked spectacular at the weigh-in. Bud was the one who missed weight yesterday and needed a second try to make weight.

            • This fight went exactly like Al Haymon thought it would. That's why he kept his fighters from fighting Bud all those years. It was good for his business to duck Crawford.

              • Spence wanted the fight, made concessions to get the fight and got the fight. No excuses, Bud gets full credit from me for the win.

                  • What a performance by Bud. Hands down, the lb per lb best. I don't know where Bud goes from here, he was levels above Spence who is the second best in the division.

Steel Sharpens Steel! Boots needs that fight!
