Give Berto his respect even if he lost to the top WW's, he is atleast willing to get into the ring against bad-asses like Cotto, or Mosley. He is calling them out.

It's true... whether he lacks the talent to actually beat them is beside the point... he isnt looking to pad his record any longer... win or lose he is ready and willing to risk it...

If Berto is babied then what does that say about Hatton who fought Collazo much later in his career then Berto did? I'd also pick Berto to beat Hatton at 140.

I remember his team saying that he would never face guys like Paul Williams or Margarito. Maybe that meeting with HBO convinced him to actually step up and stop feasting on junior welters.

Thats the difference between a guy who fights who he can and when he can and one who fight who he wants and when he wants. If Berto works as hard as Floyd has throughout his career then one day he may have this same luxury.

Berto gets noy much respect. He's a overprotected papertitlist.

He ain't half the fighter Mayweather is and will neer be.

At least I hope he fights a top 10 guy next time.Oh and a top 10 welterweight that is not junior welterweight.
