Exactly what I was about to say. It's hilarious to me that the Floyd haters keep bringing this up to try to discredit him. First of all, it wasn't a knock-down. Also, they (the haters) say that what makes a great fighter is overcoming adversity. Well, if it was truly a KD, didn't Floyd more than redeem himself by dominating Zab the rest of the way?

I know you've become a Floyd hater, mangler, but even you have to agree with what I just wrote. The actual Floyd haters nitpick and try to find anything to make him look bad, ant they do it without realizing that they are contradicting themselves.

of course it was the punch that caused the knockdown. you think Floyd would have fallen over if Zab had missed that punch or not throw it at all?

maybe the foot contributed a little to Mayweather being off balance, but most non-majorly-hurt knockdowns occur when a punch is landed on a fighter who is off balance.

Mayweather had shifted his left foot behind Zab's right right before the knockdown occured, so he was trying to do a similiar thing. tripping up your southpaw opponent like that is a key way to landing punches, particularly the straight right hand.

Floyd wasnt really hurt, but that doesnt mean it wasnt a knockdown.

Judah was on Floyd's foot when he landed the punch.

Thank you for correcting one of few typos. I'm an English major, so it means nothing to me that you corrected my spelling. At least you can spell what you are. Most people can't.

            .
It did not need to be a thread to knowledgeable boxing fans. There are some that swear Floyd got knocked down by Judah. I didn't think it needed to be posted, personally, because I know the facts. You would be surprised by how many will continue to swear that it was a knockdown. No count, Floyd wasn't hurt, it was simply a balance shot in which Floyd's foot was underneath Zab's. Somebody asked me before if I had forgotten Zab knocked Floyd down. My response was: Evidently I did, because it never happened.

Mangler, I have respect for you too. Regardless of the Floyd put-downs, I can tell you know a lot about boxing. As does Shadows, Dominicano and several others on here.

Too bad I can't say the same for people like Pullcounter. From what I've gathered through his posts, he's not intelligent enough to figure out a VCR, much less boxing.

Yep. It was a combination of stepping on toes and hooking to the head.
Judah time Floyd's attack perfectly with that shot. Though, I believe the
              toe stepping was unintentional.

Hey! I think Judah may have discovered the blueprint to beating Mayweather.

I had my money on Zab in that fight. There was a couple of Mayweather fans over that night that was worried as hell the first 4 rounds.Zab was too quick for Floyd. And yes,by the rule book, it was a legit knock down. But knock downs don't win fights. Too bad Zab lacked focus and heart. He would have been one of the great ones.

You must have no shame, trying to pass off poor spelling as a typo. Oh well, sorry to interrupt your petty and irrelevant ***** thread.

No doubt. The ref didn't see Floyd's glove touch the canvas. But it's irrelevant even if Floyd were to be given an eight count. Floyd did not appear to be hurt or buzzed and the outcome was on it's way to being no different.
