Comments Thread For: Spence: Some Scenarios I Envision Got Me Hurt, Coming Back, Winning; Some I Get Beat Up

Errol Spence Jr. has envisioned every possible outcome of his career-defining fight against Terence Crawford on July 29 - even losing and getting "beat up." Spence explained the thoughts that have run through his mind during a nearly completed training camp when he

Very honest admission! Mike Tyson said he used to cry uncontrollably, out of fear of losing, or disappointing his trainer, then he turned into an animal!

This title is a notch misleading to say the least.

It doesn't get more self confident than Holyfield, but 2hrs before the Tyson fight he said this below:

When her husband was in a dead calm on Saturday night, before what was supposed to have been the butchering of his life, it was because of their dance. They were alone in a Las Vegas, Nev., hotel room, two hours before the fight, when panic set in.
''I sat there,'' Holyfield recalled today, ''and I'm wondering: 'How much work is this going to take, how much pain? You know the boy hits hard, and you're wondering just how hard, and how tired I'll get, and will I get embarrassed?' ''
She had been to a peculiar number of his fights -- zero -- but the doctor turned to her husband of one month, tugged on his sleeve and said: ''Just dance to the word of God. In case you forgot, David danced.''So, before David (Holyfield) fought Goliath (Mike Tyson) at the MGM Grand Garden, he switched on a gospel song -- ''Mighty Man of War'' -- on his compact-disk player and began the most unorthodox pre-fight ritual of his career.

So even Real Deal had a moment of self doubt.

This is Spence's biggest fight ever. This is one for the ages. Spence should wait until after this fight to reveal these types of thoughts. He's giving mental edges to Crawford - his competitor.

This is one of the reason why I like Spence. He always keeps it real, no BS

Crawford knows when he has badly winded a fighter for the rest of the round he go's for big head shots, they fall when they are winded, got a draw, but see Crawford stopping Spence, he sounds like a fighter totally done with 147

Not really. Crawford admitted the same on All Access.

Carl froch even tho in the ring he was tough as nails before a fight tho he said he'd have terrible anxiety and be shaking before a fight. Obviously it's not a normal thing to go out there and have a fight with another man Infront of thousands of people and thousands watching at home so for some guys there cool and calm and others there nervous as hell even if they've done it so many times before
