Brewster Vs. Golota

The only thing Golota has achieved in his career is his determination to blow any kinda big fight he has had. Everytime he has faced a fight that he`d gain any title or credit for winning the guy has blown it.
Konwing this, i think there is nothing in Golota`s make up to suggest he gets it right. Only for Brewster being as mentioned a poor heavyweight has Golota got a chance to win. But, like Muhammad Ali used to pull off big wins against the odds, i am conifident that Andrew Golota will try his level best not to win a title and he will blow this chance like every other chance he has ever had.
So....keeping in mind Brewster's disadvantages and journeyman status, i believe that Mr Golota will lose this fight, while Brewster will win only by the virture of his opponent!Comment

What makes Golota have the attitude? I mean... I was watching the Tyson fight last week and why did he quit that one?Comment

I dont think Golota is 1/3rd the fighter he was in his prime in the 90's but even a 1/3rd Andrew Golota will stop Brewster. He will wack him over and over with his good arm, his right. Golota does not have his jab any more do to a shoulder surgery. He is a one armed fighter. But he will only need one arm to beat Brewster. Props to Brewster though for gaining the title, but his time as champion has lasted already far to long. Golota will win, but I honestly dont know who I would pick Golota to beat at this stage in career. Golota would probably lose to Rahman and most other contenders.Comment

I was also thinking about that. Do we honestly think golota still has what it takes to be a HW champ?Originally posted by McKayI dont think Golota is 1/3rd the fighter he was in his prime in the 90's but even a 1/3rd Andrew Golota will stop Brewster. No I dont think he has what it takes. He is damaged goods and past his prime. Even in his prime Andrew Golota prooved that he was not a championship caliber fighter, however he was one hell of a fine contender in a pretty deep heavyweight division.Originally posted by manila_assasinI was also thinking about that. Right now after May 21 I expect Golota to be WBO champion, I am looking at the top 10 heavyweights he does not have a great chance against any of them except maybe Byrd. He performed well against Byrd the first time, IMO much better than he performed against Ruiz. But we shall see, maybe he will get a proper shoulder surgery or something bring his jab back into the game, then he has a chance to beat anybody, but that is not a likely possibility.Comment

One a side note I think Golota beat Byrd clearly by a margin of 3 or 4 rounds. That is even if you dont want to call the incidents when Byrd went to his knees clearly hurt by body shots knockdowns. Golota got screwed in that fight because if he won betting sites would have lost a lot of money. I had 170$ on Golota at 7-1 and so did alot of other people.
Against Ruiz I think Ruiz deserved the decision. Golota did not do anything in that fight and Ruiz landed far more clean effective power punches.Comment

Golota did NOT beat Byrd
And he won´t beat Brewster. Brewster is a bigger puncher then either Byrd or RUiz and Golota folds against the punchers. And that was when he was a talented fighter in the mid-late 90s. I thought he looked pretty bad vs Ruiz . . .no jab, slow, he faded really bad late . . .Brewster will win this by sheer youth, power, and durabilityComment

Losing a decision to Clifford Etienne is pathetic and unacceptable as far as being condidered a contender.Originally posted by dempseyfire. . .Brewster will win this by sheer youth, power, and durability
Dirty Clinch-fests. Golota is a tactical low blow assassin.
