No, never retired. Won a Championship, Lost to Inoue, won a couple fights, won a championship again, lost to Inoue again, and now here we are.

inoue dropped 4 belts, and the bodies don’t recognize each other, meaning you will basically have eight boxers getting a shot at a vacant title now. Nonito probably one of the most deserving of the eight.
