If Inoue beats Tapales he should retire. Unless, someone solidifies themselves at Featherweight

Japanese fighters usually retire early.....30 is old compared to some of the great fighters from that country

Why retire? He is still young and in his prime, he can make a lot of money, I do agreed that he should wait for someone at feather that unifies the division, and then fight him, in the meantime he could be collecting some nice checks fighting at 126 to acclimatize to a higher division.

Nobody is going to claim they're bums, the least real boxing fans. Credit should be given to him if he does that. One thing should happen first, someone needs to take control of the featherweight division and fight him for all the marbles. This way there's no weak link at the weight.

Ioka is 34. I thought he was looking at retirement in 2019 when Nietes refused to rematch him, but instead he went on a tear and looks like he's aiming at Estrada now.


So who knows.
