Hate all you want but Thurman was putting up huge ratings and sold pretty well on PPV with a washed up Pacquiao. His persona was more marketable than guys like Bud and Spence just lacked their hunger and drive.

He fought Danny Garcia in a unification on regular TV for 2M. Surely he would've gotten at least that for a fight with Spence, that would've been ppv, and another unification.

Now this dude is whining because he literally has nothing anybody wants, except for up and coming fighters like Boots Ennis, who'd love to add Keith's name to their resume.

He's not wrong in the sense that the fight wasn't as big Spence won the IBF belt. At the time, Keith was the guy at 147 and fighting Errol wouldn't bring in as much money as Porter or Garcia.

Spence was where Boots is at now. So when people say Thurman ducked Spence, I ask those people is Spence ducking Boots? The answer is obviously no for the latter but then you have to be consistent and say no for the former as well *shrug*

Mayweather offered to drop one of his titles and ask Al to let Spence and Thurman fight for it, with the winner getting a gautanteed shot at Floyd himself.

Thurman said Hell No, Spence said Hell Yes, and that is why it did not happen.

Floyd recognized it would be a classic and would be even better for him to fight the winner of that clash because it would make more money for him that way.

Thurman didn't want the smoke though.
