Comments Thread For: Arum Hints at 'Really Big Fight' for Teofimo Lopez, Says His 'Head's Back On'

Teofimo Lopez Jr. apparently is raring to get back into the ring. Just weeks after suggesting he was retired, the former unified lightweight champion and current WBO 140-pound titlist could be headed for a "really big fight," according to his promoter Bob Arum, the founder of Top Rank Inc.

Teofimo do not fight Jose Ramirez. That fight does absolutely NOTHING for you. You’re backtracking if you take the fight. You’re gonna fight a fighter that already lost to the guy you just beat. In other words you’re gonna be fighting your leftover leftovers

Yes thats definitely not a ‘bigtime’ fight, or whatever word good ol Bob used. I say figure out a way to get the Prograis fight done. Sure Taylor beat him too, but he’s a bigger fight than Ramirez, and it comes with a belt. And I’m sure Bob would be happy taking from Hearn’s company!

Avoid Matias at all costs for now. Save that one for much later.

Who else do you suggest Teofimo fight?

He won’t be getting Rolly or Prograis. Nor is he going anywhere near Subriel Matias.

It is actually a big fight given the styles of both fighters. It’s guaranteed fireworks and Ramirez ain’t a dud. He’s got heart and he will go all out. As mentioned, all the other champs got fights set and are different promotional companies. Prograis may go at Matias and Lopez get the winner. I actually wanted the Ramirez fight in Fresno so I could
          go. See what happens.

Ramirez is a dangerous fight for Teofimo. He may wanna get in the ring with someone else. There's a chance that Ramirez can beat Teofimo. That would not be a good loss to have on his resume. He should pursue Tank or Pograis.

Prograis ain't happening whilst Prograis at MR and Teo at TR. I doubt Haney Prograis happens either

As long as Ramirez gets splattered on the canvas I'll be happy
