Balboa was a club fighter Villain...think about that for a minute...he had NO BUSINESS even being in the ring with someone that was SUPPOSEDLY as talented as Creed
Balboa is a club fighter that Apollo didn't take seriously, Evander Holyfield was supposed to smoke Bert Cooper but did the same thing Apollo did. Everyone has bad nights, Apollo had one.

and in the 2nd fight? SAME ****...you know what? Creed DID learn his lesson after the fight bout so he trained his ass off....result: STILL a war where he struggled...personally, i think the ref should have stopped the fight in the 8th and gave it Rocky
Creed STILL showed that Balboa wasn't in his league, but like I said, Apollo is a true champ who isn't afraid of some chump with a good chin. Apollo is the definition of perfect fighter, it's just that his Achilles heel are both his ego and his pride.
AND DON'T TALK TO ME ABOUT WHEN THE FIGHT SHOULD'VE BEEN STOPPED. It should've been over before the 3rd round when Creed had Balboa bloodied, battered and down twice, not to mention making him look like the nobody he is, Apollo was proving that Balboa had just gotten lucky in their first fight, but as I said, he let his pride get the better of him and looked for the KO.

Creed is a disgrace to elite HW boxing....Lang murks him
Creed wouldn't have ducked Lang like Balboa and his handlers were. We would've got in that ring and embarrassed him. Balboa is the real paper champion.

didn't duck Lang? WTF?!?!?!
Lang was already rated in the Top 10 when Creed decided to pluck a name out of the phonebook...gimme a break!
What could Apollo do!? Lang and his handlers wouldn't have been willing to take that fight on short notice, what Top 10 Heavyweight would have? So Creed is a paper champion for choosing a Philly local to fight and give them a great opportunity after his original opponent got injured? Not like it would've mattered though, Creed was and always will have been out of Lang's league.
Man, if apollo would've taken Drago seriously, he'd still be around to lay some discipline on Lang's ass. And Mick dying ****ed it up for everybody, becuse now who the hell is gonna yell "Knock his block off", while the montage music is playing? That **** is weak, man real ****in weak, and clubber's only talent it to wear way too many gold chains around his neck. Apollo would have owned his mohawk and his ass.

Apollo was 42 and had been out of the game for 5 years, on top of that fighting a roided up freak of nature.

bottomline: Creed was killed by a stiff who held his chin up high and had stamina issues...he was an amateur for christs sake

Bottomline: Your precious Lang got OUTBOXED by Rocky Balboa, who the hell gets outboxed by Balboa? That's not a skill you master in a short amount of time, montage or not. So what do you think would've happened if a true master like Creed had gotten in the ring with him?

you can't use the triangle theory in boxing....doesn't work
besides, everyone knew that Lang had ALOT of distractions coming into the rematch...his promoter was suing him, he was getting less pay than the first fight AND Balboa made him wear a different set of gloves
everyone knew it was a fluke...including Balboa...that's why they never had a rubbermatch....nooob

Don't talk distractions with me man, Balboa's trainer died right before his match with Lang, if he hadn't I'd be willing to bet it wouldn't have mattered whether or not Balboa took Lang seriously, still a KO5.
