Thurman is an inactive fighter who only aims for title fights. He's not even on anyone's radar because he's too inactive - almost irrelevant. Perhaps he should fight more often, and not just versus someone who has a belt and can offer a hefty payday. While he's a legitimate contender, Thurman comes off more like an opportunist and not a fan of the sweet science.

Well he is trying to put his name out there............as a bench boy
Blair and Keith can promote real good - if Keith can't beat Blair he has no business being in the ring with Ugas, Ennis, Bud or Spence. Flip side, if Blair beats Keith he makes his biggest payday and raises his profile for next fight.

i am not much on either fighter esp these days, but Cobb eh never thought much of him sure he probably has improved since the last time i saw him but still i would not stake much on the guy in most fights. just how i see the two fighters is all. what you are commenting on is true to a degree but still that is a fight you would like to see ? Or just a match up that helps Cobb ? Like you feel Cobb descerves to get some attention for his ring perfomances ? Just wondering.

I'm not buying what Thurman is selling. Since coming back from that latest injury, the only fighter he gave a chance was a former 140 pound champ in Barrios. Now he wants to be considered one of the elites based on what he did back in the day. He could have fought numerous times after the Barrios fight to stay relevant but all he wants to do is jump to the front of the line. He should have been prepared to have to prove himself all over again in my opinion.

Thurman painted himself into a corner. By staying inactive he is irrelevant and nobody really cares about him. He is delusional and talks like he is the second coming of something that everyone has been waiting to see.

Well I think Thurman gets blown out by Ennis Bud or Spence - ktfo. He could be competitive in spots with Ugas but if the UGas who showed up against Spence turns up then Keith is not winning - but most of that would be down to his inactivity. Thats why he needs to ease his way back in with an 'easier' fight which I think Cobbs would be. Thats if he is serious about challenging for a title - but I suspect he just wants a final big paycheck so I suspect the Ugas fight never gets made.

at his age 34 yo and what his bounty is for a fight eh he is cornered into a figth with a name bigger then Cobbs they might sell it but not with any numbers worth his price. Besides isnt he a once a year guy in the ring. Hard to get a once a year guy into many tune ups with a no name fighter with no real draw power. I hear what you are saying but in the match making bussiness of boxing not much of a chance of it happening. Then again he could never fight again Thurman or Cobbs and it would be fine with me.
