Comments Thread For: Spence: The Winner Of [The Crawford] Fight Will Be The Best Fighter In Boxing, Period

Errol Spence Jr. believes more than four welterweight titles will be at stake when he battles Terence Crawford on July 29. The undefeated IBF/WBA/WBC 147-pound champion claimed prior to his open workout Thursday afternoon in Las Vegas that the winner of their 12-round title unification fight will have earned his place as the best fighter, pound-for-pound, in boxing.

Spence stalled the fight for 5 years aging Bud out so he won't get full credit if he wins.

Yes, I actually agree because it's a contest between two guy's who are top five pound for pound. I definitely believe the winner is the pound for pound number one in the sport

I will say this. Crawford is known for giving away the first couple of rounds. He definitely can’t do that in this fight in what figures to be a close and competitive bout. Crawford I think is the better boxer but I think Spence is more durable, bigger , a pressure fighter and a terrific boxer himself outworks Crawford to win a decision or late tko.

If Inoue wins he is pound for pound #1. Not the face of boxing, but the best fighter. Undisputed at 118, 5 division Champion.

Complete nonsense! They were both to blame for it not happening sooner. Plus, Crawford is the favorite so Spence will get full credit if he wins

I agree. But it could be short lived because If Jermell beats Canelo he is p4p number 1 no matter the outcome if Spence Crawford.

If we're being technical, Spence came out with multiple excuses
