I told you guys a couple of weeks ago that Oscar was up to something. He just released that Ryan made 30 million on Showtime PPV as the B side. He knows he cannot do that on Dazn PPV because he needs PBC as a dance partner and he knows Haymon will not send any of his upper tier fighters over to Dazn. Oscar is trying to get Dazn to release him from his contract so he can go do an exclusive deal with Espinoza and Showtime. I tried telling you guys this but nooooooooo you didn't want to believe me. I agree with Oscar's overall point. That being said, I beg to ask, Ryan aside: "could Munguia, Bam Rodriguez, Vergil and co be bigger away from DAZN and/or GBP"?

It's just that Golden Boy fights are always corrupt or total mismatches.

I was very surprised Ryan pulled in that much. That is a sh-tload foe your first PPV.

I will keep paying attention to this.

Agreed. I also couldn’t understand giving GGG all that money when his value was as a Canelo opponent.

Canelo’s deal made sense but they seriously overestimated how many Americans would buy dazn to see him.

No they simply had the wrong business model, it made sense if you were doing PPV’s, and they also didn’t have the opponents.. Canelo wanted to cherry pick opponents and refused to listen to Oscar, he wouldn’t fight GGG while he was still anywhere near his prime.

Dazn just doesn't have the reach into the US market like Paramount/CBS/Showtime. Dazn cannot charge 85 bucks for a PPV fight while their subs are already paying 20 bucks a month for their content and then have to turn around and pay PPV prices. It was a doomed business model from the jump. Oscar was the PPV KING in the 90s and he knows Showtime is the only platform that will allow his company to survive. I just saw a fighthype video today where Ryan crashed a Spence interview and he started telling the interviewer how badly he wanted to fight on a PBC card again. Oscar has only two options: 1) move to Showtime 2) sell your company to Haymon. Period! My prediction is GBP, Teo and Haney will be fighting on Showtime in 2024. BANK ON IT!!!

Where have all the chav council estate ultranationalists gone? You know, those who back in 2018-2019 were ranting how Hearn was taking over america and would putHaymon out of business etc etc? Time to put the kettle on and all!
