By Cliff Rold - When undefeated 29-year old WBC and WBO 122-pound champion Stephen Fulton (21-0, 8 KO) steps into the ring at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan on Tuesday, July 25th, to defend his titles against 30-year old recently undisputed bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue (24-0, 21 KO), it will mark the latest chapter in a long, intertwined history between two weight classes separated by four pounds.

I’m so excited for this fight.
Honestly can’t pick the winner but leaning towards Inoue.
To be transparent, I’m a huge fan of Inoue and really like Fulton a lot. Both fighters have great skills and ring IQ to match the attributes but Inoue has that explosive power in both hands.
If his power carries I can see Inoue winning but Fulton has great ring generalship and banks rounds. Fulton knows how to pace a fight and get the decision.
Going to prepare a nice garlic soy marinade of wings and some steaks for the green egg. Going to be an amazing breakfast lol.

That breakfast sounds great. Inoue will win the because he has a two fisted attack to head and particularly the body, also he is one of the very few fighters to actually think and plan his power shots, fultons chance to win this is to stop Inoue, it will be the monster who banks rounds, while fulton will be forced to fight aggressively...... Splatt splatt splatt!

I am very excited at this fight, more than the fight with Crawford and Spence.

I can feel like theres gonna be a bloodfest in this. And Inoue should walk with 2 belts at the end.

Junior Jones was the most gifted Bantamweight/Jr. Featherweight I’ve ever seen. His losses were more a case of losing focus than losing to better fighters. He fought the best fighters of a golden age and beat most of them. Jones brought attention to the little giants who made their way onto the HBO Boxing platform. He belongs in the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
