This "path of least resistance" nonsense is hurting the sport...
not gonna work - who is going to fight him and get a loss for not much money? (its like snakes and ladders- and at 135 Shakur is like the longest snake - fight him and you are taking a slide in the rankings

this is exactly what we need - forcing champions to be more active instead of sitting on their belts and fighting once a year (Fury / Jermell / Josh Taylor / ) or sitting on their belts and not getting the fights we want (Canelo) or sitting on his belt and not even fighting once in two years (Jermall)

well, its a bit tough yes - but as a 4 bellt champion you have to be more forthcoming about your intentions so as to be fair to all the other fighters waiting a shot. 135 is a log jam right now and no reason why Martin or both Cruzs should have to wait 2/3 years for a shot as is happening to Benavidez at 168

Course - Haney brings no money to the belt orgs unlike Canelo - so they will be harder on him/don't care - Teofimo can bring a bit more money, now and in the future imo

I'd love to see that fight but I could just as easily see Haney out-boxing Tank at range as he might net get the counter opportunities he gets against the likes of pressure fighters

Sure it just looks like PR from Stevenson to me. I get petitioning the WBC.

Then Tank would just walk him down like he did to Barrios in the later rounds of their fight, because Haney doesn't have the power to keep him off of him. Even if Devin tries to clinch, Tank is short, strong, with mean uppercuts.
