Comments Thread For: Lomachenko Manager: We Want Haney Rematch; Most Likely We Won't Get It

Egis Klimas, the manager of three division titlist Vasiliy Lomachenko, is keeping a realistic attitude toward the idea of getting a rematch with Devin Haney.

If I was Haney I would want to clear the air. Legacy matters in boxing. Make it happen for yourself and the fans.

Why is Loma ducking Shakur? It's clear based on Loma's manager's comments that they don't feel like Haney is granting the rematch. Loma's team should be working on a plan B now that plan A, the rematch with Haney is not happening. Unless Loma plans on fighting Tank or moving up to 140lbs to pursue Haney, Shakur is his best option.

Haney should rematch Loma, only fights he should have at 135 is Loma rematch, Shakur and Tank. Shakur and Tank can also happen at 140 so his last fight should be Loma

A professional boxer with 400 fights scared as told by the…..fan….ok. He’s doing what any fighter in his position would do, try to get all the straps. Y’all act like shakur is about to announce he’s going to 140 after his next fight or something and wouldn’t be there in half a year.

He was going to 140 if he could fight for a belt, he can’t now because they are all tied up unless he’s gonna fight Lopez for whatever Lopez offers (Haney im the a side) - Crazy teo) him which he won’t take. I imagine he’s going to let some of the smoke settle with the belts or take short money on them which again he’s expressed he won’t.

Haney isn’t draining down to lighweight again.

A Shakur Stevenson bout is a good option for Lomachenko, a money fight that can easily be made as both are in-house for Top Rank.

Yeah something tells me is Loma and his team will decide to fight a very low ranked guy next. Probably a Kambosos.
