My Thoughts on Pac VS Cotto Leading to Floyd

Don't worry about a Pac-Mayweather fight yet.

Worry about the Cotto-Pac fight. If Pacquiao wins he will get a fight against Floyd, trust me. There is just too much money riding on that fight for it not to happen.

Mayweather is demanding more than 50/50 and he deserves it. Pacquiao is going to price himself out. Joke Coach and Arum arn't going to let there little son get sonned.

Yeah I agree if Pac wins, Pac-Mayweather happens for sure. Waaaay too much money for either to walk away.

If pac-man does win, then I would hope arum and roach would let the fight work itself out. From what it sounds like now there's no way the fight will happen. Arum and Roach both don't think that Floyd should even get 50%. If the Cotto vs Pac-Man fight gets more buys then the Floyd fight (which I believe it will), then that's not going to help make this fight happen. It needs to be split 50-50 if Pac-Man outsells Floyd, but I don't think Arum or Roach will allow that.

Now im not totally sure if Roach and Arum don't think Floyd should get 50%, because they actually believe Manny will sell more, or is it because they no Manny couldn't beat Floyd?

As long as Manny doesnt run from Cotto. I believe Roach strategy is for Manny to get in and out as quick as possible and win by decision or possibly hit Cotto enough times to knock him out in the late rounds. It would be a huge win, but fighting in that manner is not going to work against Mayweather. Manny has to be the aggressor against Mayweather he cant fight him with an in and out style. If Manny somehow is able to take Cottos punch and also hit Cotto hard enough to hurt him with a single shot, then I will give him a much better chance against Mayweather. I doubt that Roach is aiming for something like that. This is why he got such a big boost to be able to beat Mayweather after Hatton, because he took Hattons punch and then knocked him out with his. After the way Mayweather beat a smaller man in Marquez, Mannys chances went down to beat him. If the fight does take place it should be 50/50 and it will sell like crazy.

I want the best fighter to win. Then let the PPV company deal with who fights who.

Whoever wins, ego's will get in the way with the promoters, but they will have a come to jesus moment when they realize their bickering won't make them money AND they will figure out a fight the public wants.

We will read about negotiations every hour here on NSB for months.

What do you guy's think about Roach and Arum? Do you think the money is to great not to make it a 50-50 split, or even 60-40 in favor of Floyd? Do you think the money would be to great to not let the fight happen?

I think it depends on a lot of things. If Cotto beats Pac I predict the negotiations will be way smoother than if Pac wins.

I want to throw another scenario at you guys. What if Cotto wins?

Why couldn'y HBo put together a four man tourney that way? Cotto vs Floyd. Manny vs Mosley. Doesn't make as much sense, but what do you guys think?
