  • Comments Thread For: Crawford Has No Plans on Trying To Beat Mayweather's 50-0 Record: 'He Can Have That'

Terence Crawford may be into reaching new milestones, but there is at least one he has no desire to chase: Floyd Mayweather's immaculate 50-0 record.

I like Crawford's attitude. Seems like once he set for life financially and has cemented his legacy, he plans to retire with his mental faculties intact.

That record is pure non-sense, and it's hyped up by all the Mayweather groupies. I'm not going to punish fighters for going undefeated with way more wins than Mayweather because they decided to continue fighting instead of retiring. Jimmy Wilde went 93-0, Chavez went 89-0, McFarland 70-0, Pep 62-0, Jimmy Berry 59-0, Ricardo Lopez 51-0 ect ect. Way more impressive....

If he wins, I'd like to see him fight the heir apparent, Ennis. After that, win or lose, ride off into the sunset.

It was hyped by the media, anybody that knows boxing knows it was done before and means nothing.

This thread would normally be over run with Floyd haters attacking his 0, but this stops them lol

Prompted to weigh in on who he thinks is the greatest fighter of all time, Crawford pointed to Mayweather.

“It’d have to be Mayweather,” Crawford said. “Everything. Not just cuz of the record—fighting style, everything that surrounds ‘Money’ Mayweather. It would have to be Mayweather.”

I'm not even a Mayweather fan per se. Once he became an ******, and started fighting so defensively, I rooted against him for many many fights. But there is no denying he was an ALL TIME GREAT fighter, who not only did it in the ring, but changed the game outside. Nothing but respect, and I can't stand the haters.

The lans, dcape of really good fighters changed in the past decade or so. Floyd built it from the ground up and an underdog in alot of fights when he was smaller. Bud is an excellent fighter but he is past his peak, wasted talent IMO

Lol clearly you are a Floyd Mayweather Jr hater and will never give him credit no matter what he does ( This is from a person who wishes Floyd would come out of retirement and get knocked out).

No version of Floyd Mayweather beats Willie Pep or Sugar Ray Robinson. Hell, I don't think he beats Sugar Ray Leonard or Thomas Hearns, either.
