Good read. Too mean sleepers on HBO lately.

Ishe Smith v Jacobs turned out to be a decent/good fight as it happens.

              Yeah

Hauser's article is better than Hauser's interviews

I wonder who speaks slower Hauser or Marchant.

                Very good Article!!!

This is simple really. First HBO needs to stop doint what they did with GBP. I mean like the article said, Kirkland, Arreola, Ortiz all are gone from the big Market for a coumple of months now. What the **** they have left?

So they need to stop giving any promoter so many dates in advance.

And second and foremost, they need to stop over paying fighters who havent done ****.

                Like Ortiz, Berto,ect,ect,ect

really enjoyed that. Bob arums idea is perfect! 12 big shows a year one every month! maybe the 14th of every month and Showtime can show big fights at the end of the month, therefore no competition and the highest viewing figures possible. 3 good fights on each show all COMPETITIVE! ESPECIALLY THE MAIN EVENT. then maybe some new ideas for some smaller cards that could be shown on HBO during the month like the Friday fight club idea from Golden boy?

I would almost put half the blame at least on Golden Boy promotions. When they struck the deal with HBO and started putting piss poor cards together, things really started to crumble.

the real blame is on ross greenburg. he is the one who gave golden boy those deals. greenburg is not really a boxing guy. hbo bad was "bad" when lou dibella was head of hbo boxing department. he's a boxing guy through & through. You should buy exciting fights, not unproven fighters who you think might be exciting.
