I don't buy any of Freddie's bull****, anymore.

He's been saying Pacquiao has basically been on the road to disaster ever since prior to the Barrera rematch.

One minute he doesn't show up, the next minute he leaves the Country, one week he's not training, the next week he is, he's too popular, he likes the clubs too much, his Celebrity status is a drawback, blah, blah, blah.

    Save it, Freddie.

You've been saying this **** for literally years now and none of the chaos has had the slightest effect on him.

If Cotto squashes him he deserves the accolades that come with it.

    Straight up.

According to an article in the sports.inquirer, Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach had this to say about Pacquiao: “He’s [Pacquiao] getting hit too much.” Ah, that’s not good news for Pacquiao fans because he’s still only sparring and hasn’t even faced Miguel Cotto yet.

It might have been a little bit better for Cotto to have another two fights under his belt before facing Pacquiao to ensure that there are no lingering effects from his knockout loss to Margarito that could be a problem. But Pacquiao picked him out of the pack, bypassing Shane Mosley and Paul Williams.
I can understand Mosley but Paul Williams??? He must seriously hate pac. Pwill-Cotto is more plausible than Pwill-pac.

i'm not surprised---it's not like he has amazing defense---he's not a defensive fighter by any means....

Well, it really is too early because several adjustments can still be made and Pac isn't even anywhere near peaking yet. Apparently, there was a report from inside the camp that Shawn Porter had "rocked" Manny Pacquiao in these early sparring sessions.

Isn't part of the sparring session/training is to get hit. That is how you adjust your timing and reflexes. Not to mention your stamina and tolerance on getting hit. Granted the sparring partner is probably not going fully loaded with the punches to avoid hurting Manny, it's still helpful to a certain degree.

Be careful Manny. If you can get hit you can get beat. Dont lose your speed and reflexes. They will come in handy against the likes of Cotto, just like they come in handy against DLH and Hatton.

Hatton could have hurt you but your reflexes and speed allowed you to get to hatton first. Cotto will also hit you. But make sure you are hit a lot less than Cotto is hit by you.

Manny is sparring with much bigger opponents, no wonder he's getting pushed around a bit. But it's all good, that's what he has to learn to deal with for the cotto fight.... sounds like all is going to plan to me!
