Fighters that never went out on their backs??

The dude that I got to see show the most heart and never ever go on his back was Fernando Vargas. This dude was hurt terribly, but still managed to get on his feet. Do you like you fav fighters to do that? It can end up in brain damage, but it also strenghtens you legay, well at least in most Mexicans eyes. Thoughts?

sometimes when you KNOW u youre defeated it may better to stay down and live to fight another day..[even if youre in your prime, i suppose] stayin down may not be as cool as getting up and gettin knocked down again but atleast u go home on your own two feet and see your wife and kids, instead of a stretcher and in the hospital..

Vitali and Floyd haven't been on the canvas. Wasn't floyd tripped by zab judah so it wasn't an actual knockdown?

Good post. I don't approve of quitting but if the fighter has kids then it's better to go see them instead of going to see a doctor in the hospital. But if you get as far as 11 rounds and decide to quit then that's pretty lame.

I wanna see a fighter fight til the fight ain't winnable no more. If it's hopeless, don't go on and get maimed just to please the crowd. I had no beef wit EM in the 3rd Pac fight or Cotto against Marg cuz they couldn't win.
