I dont think so. It is not like he is sparring for 15-25 rounds at a time like Floyd does, he is taking shorter sessions with bigger guys. Makes alot of sense if you ask me.

Trust me he is sparring 15-25 roudns as well. All pros esepcially elites do. Pacuqiao trains harder than Floyd and so does Marquez.

The only difference is that Roach probably doesnt want these sparring partners to knock manny down for 1000 bucks like before. now I net theyre working on a strategy somewhat like Klitchsko to be in and out all day and take no heat. Cause with Cotto he will get burned tot he third degree

Thats why roach is training him and not you.

I dont think he is doing that with middleweights and light middleweights is what I am saying. He is likely doing that with guys that wont be able to consistently inflict serious damage with a combination in an effort to prevent fatigue and injury before the fight.
I dont think either Marquez or Pacquiao train harder than Floyd, but I do not want a turn this into a "who trains harder than who" thread.

                pacquiao's getting steamrolled.
cotto's clones look faster than cotto tho. but that's not to say cotto won't win...

I think his general point is accurate, but obvious. Obviously sparring partners are not as good as the fighters they impersonate but that has little bearing on whether or not the fighter is going to lose or win. It is more an issue of being comfortable and used to fighting a fighter of a particular style, height and weight.
