He was a force to be reckoned with in the middleweight division. It's sad to see such a vibrant personality

This is so sad used as promoters is an understatement he went 1-15-3 over the last 10 years of his career he didn’t have to go out like that I remember his fight with Mundine like it was yesterday. Echols at his best would have flattened Mundine in a round but had a bullet lodged in his armpit from a recent shooting. RIP.

Devastating for the family. A true warrior and a humble soul outside the ring. He will not be forgotten.

          Dude was a fxckin' warrior.

Guy got shot and kept fighting anyway with a bullet in his body.

          Gave Hopkins a fright.

Went over to Alvino’s house one morning and Antwun was asleep on his couch. When he woke, we introduced ourselves and shared some cherry skoal.
Antwun could run like a marathon runner and punch like a heavyweight. He always sparred fair in the gym and was never dirty.

It's sad, but nobody forced him to fight, and nobody told him to have 23 children. Even Holyfield had to blush at that one.
