Wonder if Ward’s Showtime documentary had anything to do with things?

They're not. ESPN tells them what position to take for the sake of banter while they call the fight.
This is how ESPN operates - ESPN commentary is extremely biased by design.
Whoever replaces Ward will be the same way.
As for Andre being let go - no loss IMO. He reminded me of Lennox Lewis in some ways... Ward was more eloquent but he didn't really have a lot to say.
remember when fox didn’t have crawford in their list of top welterweights and refused to acknowledge the WBO? Lmaoooo
ESPN is almost as bad

Keller am making $5m is surprising. I don’t think he has been worth anything even remotely close to that since HBO boxing. Max is a good boxing commentator and analyst but he didn’t have anything to do with ESPN boxing in terms of the Conor commentary. I’d like to see him on the biggest pbc Ppv’s on strictly boxing…same with Ward. ESPN if they want to stay in boxing their product needs to improvelandotter likes this.

Personally I took issue with Ward when he publicly started praising Stevenson via the network, I’m a big fan of Stevenson but this dude would sometimes change the whole conversation about another fighter to talk about the one he’s managing.
at least kellerman transcended sports and was on other shows that weren’t doing too badly but ward….at times his “I’m right” would create tension in the flow of the analyst conversation. Ward was a great fighter but he’s so bad as an analyst.Topdogggbm likes this.

Max and Andre are two of the most knowledgeable boxing personalities. I’m sure they’ll find work right away.
DAZN should jump on them both.just the facts
