Comments Thread For: Kambosos on Fighting Lopez Again: I'm In No Rush to Fight Him; I Beat Him Fair and Square

George Kambosos Jr. doesn't get why he has to necessarily "run it back" with Teofimo Lopez. The former unified lightweight champion from Australia is open to the idea of fighting Lopez again, but he resents the idea that a rematch must happen based on the notion that Lopez had an off night in their first fight.

They should probably make the rematch and let Lopez get his W back.

Kambosos is like the Andy Ruiz of the lightweight division. Above average fighter who happened to be in the right place at the right time.

          Doesn't sound to confident.

For us fans, fighters are only as good as their last fight. Kambosos looked bad in his last outing with Haney. Teofimo looked great against Taylor. By our standars, Teo wins the rematch. I'd like to see Kambosos get a couple of impressive wins before he takes another crack at a top name. I think he'll need those confidence boosting fights too considering how big of a loss those to Haney fights were. He lost the belts in his own country and got beat even worse in the rematch in front of the same audience. He needs to tap into his pre-Haney fights to get his groove going again lol

Lets see Kambosos beat Maxi Hughes before we start talking about fights with Teofimo.

Well said similar to how we don't have Ruiz beating wilder fury, Usyk no one has kambosos beating Loma Haney tank or even Shakur. Styles make fights as well as talent level. Kamboso should use his name & either fight shakur, move up Lopez rematch or hell negotiate with Regis after such a lackluster performance

If anyone had any doubts on whether Lopez was lying about his condition when he fought Kambosas then these comments should eliminate that doubt.

It's a clear shot at another belt and gives Kam more money fights again. There's no reason not to go after the Lopez rematch.

I think he might wind up fighting Shakur for a vacant title assuming Haney vacates.
