He wasn't an ATG or anything but he was very good.

I disagree. He was average at best. He looked great against the stiffs, which is what he fought in his first 20 or so fights. He beat Casamayor in a controversial split decision in which he was awarded two knockdowns that were not knockdowns. He quit in his two biggest fights against Juan Diaz and Diego Corrales. He was very popular in Brazil, but no where else

Popo is good but not as good as Casamayor. Even though he beat him barely.

Pretty damn good at his best. Popo had wicked power, handspeed, and a good chin. I couldn't believe it when he quit against Chico, then again wit Diaz.
