    Smith handled the cuts pretty well, and got the KO. He needed to press the fight more than usual because Maxwell was hesitant, and his aggression was leading to the head-clashes. Good learning experience.

        Sucks that the cuts may keep Smith out for a while, but now it's time to start making the climb to the European title. Maybe give him someone like Andrea Scarpa or Darragh Foley when he comes back, still really want to see him fight Robbie Davies once he's healthy. That's a big, fun fight eventually, Liverpool vs Sheffield

          If I were managing Smith I'd still put him in with a granite-chinned volume puncher before really advancing him up to the highest levels, because I can't recall that approach being tried against him yet and it seems the obvious counter. Hard to pull off, mind
