  • Comments Thread For: Luis Arias Believes Stoppage Loss To Erickson Lubin Was Bogus: "I Clearly Got Up At Nine"

Skills and wit have never been the first attributes that come to mind when discussing the career of Luis Arias. Grit, determination, and a never say die attitude is more apropos. Arias, however, doesn't believe that any of those attributes were given a chance to shine this Saturday night against Erickson Lubin.

Bogus stoppage was Adames win over Williams. Arias had no answers for Lubin

He made no attempt to get immediate up. He took a knee count instead. Which is the greatest indication that a fighter is hurt.

Not definitive. It can be an indication. But it's also recognised as the smart thing to do to give yourself every second possible to no longer be buzzed.

Son, please stop complaining. Nobody wants to hear that BS. It sounds awful and makes u look bad. Instead, give your opponent some love and some credit and thank him for the opportunity. People have to learn how to take their asswhipping gracefully. Hammer flattened u just like the bread on a Cuban sandwich.

He did get up at nine but he should had been ready to get up. If he wasn't hurt then he should had not stood on the canvass so long.

You are right. I agree with that assessment. He was buzzed. Which was the reason why he stayed down on one knee and allowed the referee to count over him like that. Otherwise, as I've stated earlier; He would have gotten immediately up after the knockdown and took the standing eight count instead.
