I thought, in many or most cases, having a belt gave the belt holder a bit of an A-Side advantage over the belt-less challenger... but what do I know...

Personally, I didn't like the stoppage but in my humble opinion it was a matter of time before Williams was out of there. That body work from Adames was brutal. He had the steam taken out of him at that point.

Yeah, A side or B side... he was taking a beating... I like JW but he stays in the pocket, too often, for too long, taking too many shots, with an already low punch resistance...

I have to admit it goes both ways.

Turned off the fight once the A side rant started. The corner won't live with the brain damage that will make him look and act 90 by the time he's 60... Medical bills in the US on top of that..

Maybe it's a good corner/team but, that fight had already taken good years out of this man's life. Extending the fight would have been like stealing 100k while risking 20 years in jail.

Santos is talking a little bit too much shxt seeing as how Adames was SUPPOSED to dominate J-Rock. There were multiple times that I thought Williams was about to take a nap, but he found a way, not only to fight through it, but snap Adames' head back with nice shots and win rounds.

So, no, I don't agree with the stoppage because J-Rock wasn't at the point where he couldn't defend himself, nor was he physically unable to return fire. If he would have gotten knocked out the next round, then so be it. That's what he signed up for and wanted to prove that wasn't going to happen.

These bad stoppages really do go both ways because both fighters are robbed in a way.

Yeah, that's why so many champions from overseas get the decision when they beat Americans in the US. Oh no, wait....
