Everyone mentioned in the article beats Berlanga. He's just not that good. I don't see him beating anyone in the top ten or even any decent prospects. Hearn signed him for some easy food for Canelo down the road . Didn't Top Rsnk cut their losses with him , or did he leave Top Rank ? I could have sworn that Top Rank dumped him after the bite incident.

He left TopRank, he wanted to fight top 10 opponents and Main event. TopRank wanted him to fight B level fighter's and be Co-Main for fighter's

No sir TR let him go. If he wanted to fight top 10 opponents he would've signed with the PBC who probably 8 out of the top ten at 168. He signed with Hearn to fight C level (Quiggley) bums who aren't going to make him any better. Nice try!

[Canelo] signed a three-fight deal with PBC. So, it was like, “Aright, what the f--- are we gonna do,”

Lol I envision Eddie and Oscar matching up their fighter stable more often ,its the only way they can somehow compete showtime boxing and their catalog of great fights coming up ahead.

Oh, I wasn't saying for them to try to "Build around Haney." I'm just saying Haney vs. Prograis is probably the best fight they can make this year, since Oscar won't let Munguia vs. Berlanga happen!

I just saw in one of his interviews the other day that now he has the money for fights like Tank and Wilder. PUH-LEEZE! They ain't never fighting on a dazn card. NEVER!
I wouldn't worry about Matchroom. It's mostly UK content, and that's what it's supposed to. You should worry about PBC allocating most of its budget to face of boxing superstar Canelo plus of course his PBC opponent's asking price. It was $10 mil for Plant last year, as an example. Such amount would have fed substantial number of inactive fighters in their stable. Let's hope the inactivity issue won't get worse.

DAZN should be re-investing hearn's salary. Lots of hard lessons being learned.

I would have loved to have been in that board meeting

"ROIGHT! Mates! We may have lost Canelo Alvarez, but I just signed Edgar Berlanga! Fresh off his suspension for biting a journeyman who was outboxing him Pip Pip"
