Eddie Hearn last two signings Regis and Berlanga

Man tough month for Hearn his two "major" signings looked horrible in their matchroom debuts.

First Regis looked every bit of 35 going on 40 and now Berlanga looking like a guy with 2 fights no jabs, no feints, no head movement no combinations nothing.

    Kinda feel for Eddie.

Keith Connolly as usual got his fighter paid at the expense of Eddie this time around!

They are signing what ever is out there with appealing earnings. The problems is that Prograis is up there in age and Berlanga was never as good as he was sold. There is a reason both guys were not in long term contracts. Regis promoted and managed his career horribly.

On the flip side everyone stood away from Crawford. Only that third tier promotional company took a chance with him.

Regis is in need of change. I mean that in terms of his style of boxing.

He showed every bit of his age trying to fight a young man style with the hands partially down. This young group of 140 lbers are going to beat him to the punch every time since his speed is diminishing.

He still has power but he really needs to work on his high guard and delivery of shots because playing the reflex game is going to hurt him going forward.

As far as Berlanga. I see where he can improve but it is going to take some time. He needs fights like last night to improve but I realistically don't see him competing with the top of the division even if he improves.
