It's a fight I want to see, and I think Floyd would win a decision, but Shane would have his moments.

This thread is kind of pointless. You're posting this as if Floyd only chooses fights where he has good chance of losing which he doesn't or atleast the most dangerous fights out there when the fact of the matter is he doesn't.

Shane has a better chance of beating Floyd than Marquez did
Shane has a better chance of beating Floyd than Hatton did
Shane has a better chance of beating Floyd then Baldomir did
Shane has a better chance of beating Floyd than Bruselles did

The same could be said for Cotto as well.

But this isn't to say that Floyd should fight Shane and thats it. But making threads like this are pointless.

Floyd should AT LEAST fight 2 out of Cotto, Pac, and Mosley if he TRULY is back to fight the best and not for money. Because coming back to fight the LW champ and then one actual WW isn't going to cut it.

nah, floyd should at least fight the 2 WWs (cotto and mosley) and the jr WW (pac) can be his reward for doing what he's supposed to do fight WWs.

Shane too big, hard, smart, and fast for Floyd to deal with.. Floyd is not used to the kind of beast that shane brings. Floyd doesn't want that kind of fight and that's why I doubt it ever happens.

And in answer to your question to me, I could care less about what floyd says, I'm not a sucker who gets fooled by a known liar. I care what floyd does. He can call people out all he wants and say all the other dumb shi t he says all day. I know who he gets in the ring with. That is all the proof I need. I also know who shane gets in the ring with, and his resume of opponents he has faced, the weights he faced them at, the points in their
careers when he fought them take a brontosaurus sized dump on floyds.

They both have to want the fight, not one. Mosley didn't want the fight twice, now Floyd is giving him a taste of his own medicine cause he's on top now and he can make Millions off of tune-ups with names like Marquez.

On a side note, Mayweather Msoley may finally happen in 2010 if Mosley beats Berto in Jan and Mayweather beats the winner of Cotto-Pacquiao. It will happen, trust me. Mosley will be the biggest fight for Floyd and the same with Mosley.

It would be the biggest fight for both, I agree and I am dying to see it. What I'm saying is that people have been calling for this fight for years.

What I said is easy to say because it's true. Floyd talks a lot, yet never seems to get in the ring with his toughest challenges, yet shane actively seeks out tough challenges and fighters no one wants to fight (exception pwill-shane learned his lesson). Therefore all your excuses of dentist blah blah mean nothing. Again, no one knows what was really going on, especially not you or me. But we all do know the facts and that is who has fought who and what each fighters track record is.

I think Mosley tests Mayweather late and wins most of the later rounds. Would definitely be a close fight.

i think Shane would take the fight to Floyd, harder than anyone he's ever faced, and we may see Floyd in a real battle if this fight ever happens.
