Briggs is in it for the money again. He made a nice paycheck against Ibragimov and the only reason he fought him (because Briggs really did have walking pneumonia-he didn't train at all for the fight, but that's only slightly less than normal) was because if he hadn't he would've been stripped and seen his potential earning drastically decrease. In fact he was paid lomething like 1.75million for that fight and the only other fights he could make more would be against the Klitschkos and he would have no leverage against them without a belt. Because Briggs isn't the biggest draw and was knocking bums before he caught Liakhovich. Briggs made 400k plus the 100k KO bonus against Liakhovich. So he needs the money to continue living the lifestyle he does. Briggs can make a buck and a fight with him and Arreola would be fun to watch...........Hmmmm, a solid crossroads fight.

I loved watching Briggs just be absolutely ****ed by about round 4, just awful. I say put him in with Peter, Tye Fields or Rahman, for a truly HW bum fight.

Briggs at his best couldn't beat the Vitali of today. Wladimir? Yeah, prime Briggs would have KO'd Wlad. Now, he'd go 3 rounds with Vitali, and might make it past the halfway mark with Wladimir.

Briggs at his best ******. Totally overrated, mainly due to being a New York fighter. Lykovich was the only top 25 fighter he ever beat and don't say he beat Foreman because big George was robbed in that one. That being said I hope he does get a fight with a Klit because I want to see Briggs the human totem pole get his head knocked off.

Shannon Briggs is a joke.

He was even defeated by Sedrick Fields. According to the IBO statistics, Briggs has just TWO wins over "top 50" ranked heavyweights are Lyakhovich and his gift over Foreman.

He's arguably fought worse opposition than Tye Fields overall, and has lost to fringe contenders like Jameel McCline whenever he's stepped up.
