Seems Mr. Spence wants to have his cake and eat it.
Aren't titles the reason why boxers pick certain boxers, duck others because they don't have titles?

Don't titles increase your stock and give you more bargaining power in negotiations?
Point is, they're huge part of the sport. I wish they're all gone so we can see more fights
that would not otherwise be made because of the lack of titles. But it is what it is.

If the conversation is about eliminating them, call me, I'm in. I'm all for it.

QUESTION??? If champions are allowed to avoid fights or fight 2nd tier opponents when they choose....are they Champions or are they merely belt holders??? Wouldn't that make the belt just a shallow marketing tool in return for 3% of the pot????

One thing is for absolutely certainty and that is that the WBC has no interest in performance, skill or true champions, just the money they skim off the top.

the wbc are a non profit, so their motive is not to make as much profit as possible, its really just to make sure the sulaiman family and associates are as well looked after as possible

That being said, Sulaiman is a scumbag but he also helps African Americans more than anyone, even more than Mexicans. Charlo for example, has not fought in more than 2 yearsm yet has his belt. For anyone who doesn't want to waste their life reading whoricio's verbal diarrhea, here's a tl;dr translation of his bullcrap:

"We use that money to do stuff.
And that is some really, really, really good and noble stuff.
                Source: trust me, bro."

To support his first class airfares, five thousand dollar bottles of wine, suites, steaks and the rest a fat pig like him enjoys, Tank Vs Garcia was best, NO TITLES!

Okay, he says they should have funds for retired boxers, but why only now?

Not that the boxers shouldn't take personal responsibility, but many don't know how to work with money. Also, their health, some of them, is badly affected, as it's a sport where one has taken some punishment.

Have they helped Gerald McLellan, even though he was not the WBC champion but the WBO champ, or do they say they'll help all fighters?

That's what I'd like to know, although I do know they haven't helped Gerald.

Talking of judges being paid, well, some judges are very dodgy, too influenced by the promoters.
