Comments Thread For: Tom Brown: Winner Of Spence-Crawford Will Become The Undisputed P4P King Of Boxing

NEW YORK - Tom Brown believes there even is more at stake for Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford than becoming boxing's first fully unified welterweight champion of the four-belt era.

Maybe for Crawford but this is Spencer's first legit win

Bollocks to that - if Inoue beats Fulton to unify at 122 he is still above Crawford and especially Spence.

Big 'If' - he may win - but don't want to hear anything about Fulton not being legit if Inoue wins. Stepping up a weight and fighting a unified champion is a legit ballsy move. Lets see if the winner of Spence Crawford does that and moves up to fight winner of Tszyu/Charlo - most likely they will go into rematch to avoid fighting dangerous mandatories at 147 vs Ennis and Ortiz

I agree with this is because this will be a top 5 P4P win.

If Usyk beats Fury Imo he would go back to #1 and the winner of this drops to #2. If Inoue beats Fulton I think he has a case for #1 as well, but falls to #2 if Usyk becomes the undisputed hwt champ.

Fulton is legit, but he aint nothing special.

Can you compare Fulton to Crawford and Spence?

          There's no comparison whatsoever.

These guys are leagues above Fulton.

It will be a great win for Inoue deserving of applause, but Fulton aint anywhere near as dangerous an opponent as either Bud or Spence is, even with the weight advantage.

I respectfully disagree. I think the winner of Spence vs Crawford is, undeniably, #1 p4p. The delays and inactivity were making things a bit cloudy but they're both still at least 90% of their respective primes and for one to add the other to their list of victories I think is, currently, the biggest feat in boxing.

Ennis and Ortiz are two fantastic talents who add tremendous depth to the weight class. They should 100% be fighting each other to decide who meets the winner of Spence Crawford (however many times they fight).

P4p is always a subjective matter. I was poised to put Haney at the top but thought Loma quite clearly beat him so that kinda throws everything into a bit of confusion currently but the winner of this is the new Mayweather of the sport.

Spence and Crawford have been happy to leave the question open for years of who is #1 in their division. Finally that will be resolved and the winner will deserve full credit as the man in the division, but let's not go overboard. If Inoue beats to Fulton to become undisputed in two divisions, he has to be part of the discussion.
