In front of the microphone, Tim needs to sit and learn from his much-respected father.

Starting with this: Tim really needs to tee-totally lose the foul-mouthed version of "what's my name." It doesn't fit the situation at all. When Muhammad Ali shouted that at Ernie Terrell, it was not because Ali had won a big victory and was claiming his piece of fame. It was because he had legally changed his name from Cassius Clay to an Islamic name, and Terrell publicly refused to call Ali by that name, even after Ali upbraided him about it. So Ali got him in the ring and explained things to Terrell, very violently, repeatedly demanding Terrell answer, "What's my name?"

As a Christian, I'm absolutely against Islam -- there is no Saviour in it, no Redeemer, and no hope. On the other hand, if a man legally changes his name, that's his right, and people should call him by his proper name whether others like it or not.

Tzsyu mimicking that is all wrong and way out of context, and whatever else you may think of Muhammad Ali, at least he could string together a few sentences without using the F-bomb as the linguistic filler for moments when his brain shut down and he couldn't come up with a decent adjective.

C'mon, Tim. You come from better stock than the gutter-talking types that can't speak English without a helping of filth. Clean it up, and earn your respect the right way, inside and outside of the ring.
It is the Australian culture. MF and the F word are normal words there. It is what it is. The "what's my name" thing isn't pertaining to Ali, Tim is saying that because he has been so compared to his dad throughout his career, and as he is making his own legacy, he says that as a bit of a joke.

As a Christian myself I cringe a bit when he says it, but it is really just cultural.

As a secular humanist, I tolerate the beliefs of all religions no matter how misguided they might be, though oppose uncilvilised behvaiour of all people, no matter their religion.

If a man changes his name, that is his right, though everyone else in the world retains the right to express themselves as they see fit, including calling someone else by the wrong name. Ernie Terrell called Ali by his old name, intentionally insulting him in the course of doing so, and paid the price. It was an ugly incident for both, and I say that as a big Ali fan.

Tim Tszyu has my attention by virtue of what he is doing within the ring. I think he is exciting and dynamic as a fighter, though a little rough around the edges. To be honest, the swearing that you reference didn't affect me, as all I watched was the fight itself and I think that probably is true of many others,

Slight irony in that you call him Tzsyu. That's not his name.

            • I’m not workin in that ring but from my armchair QB perspective Carlos didn’t move his head once.

Ocampo’s head was in 1 spot.

GTFOH. You're just saying that because he isn't black or American and you've been pulling for him to fail. If a black American fighter did this you'd be singing his praises. Tszyu has always had natural power, he's just getting better at placing his punches with experience. There's nothing unnatural about Tszyu's progression. He's keeping busy, is dedicated and is improving with every fight. Nice try though.

You are a moron. Campo lost to Fundora by decision and Fundora was considered a top contender at the time. The only other person who beat him was Spence who is arguably the #1 welterweight in the world. Tszyu got the best fighter who would agree to fight him in the ring after Charlo supposedly broke his hand. Campo was a credible opponent in preparation for Charlo. Who was he supposed to fight?
