Shh he was probably offered a nice amount for those 3 fights then add in once done top rank got only 2 fights that interest him so 5 fights in 2 years for a premium vs probably 3 fights in 2 yrs if signed to just top rank only. If he can land the Matias fight & win collect another belt the bid for those 2 fights would be more for it'll be truly undisputed. With Eddie he would be lining up washed up dudes like Hearn did to Conor Benn. That's probably what Prograis had in mind. Danger here is there's such thing as cherrypick gone wrong cases. Hence, it might be better to lose to an established fighter than a nobody. Which is why I don't see Haney, for instance, fighting 2nd tier fighters like Zepeda, Ortiz, Pitbull, etc. He'd rather lose to an established fighter, which makes sense.
