If he really wanted to fight Teo, why turn down TR, and sign with MatchRoom? Why can you fight Teo after Zorilla, but you won't fight Matias until his 3rd fight with MatchRoom? Regis is getting on my nerves now!

Matias has a belt, but he's reluctant to fight him. The easiest way to either avenge his loss to Taylor, or fight Tefimo Lopez, was to sign with Top Rank. Now he has wait for Teo's contract to end, or hope Eddie can help him!

Probably because none of the potential fights at 140 were a certainty and Matchroom was offering him top money for a couple easy fights. Teo was widely expected to lose to Taylor and Taylor was widely expected to move up to WW if he won.
