Comments Thread For: Successful Defense Should Move Prograis to Front of Lopez's Next Fight Line

By Lyle Fitzsimmons - It's hard to be as wrong as I've been on Teofimo Lopez. I was pretty sure in 2020 that he was a good young fighter but not good enough to handle the likes of Vasiliy Lomachenko in a championship-level fight. I was equally sure in 2021, based on how wrong I'd been in the Lomachenko fight, that he'd basically be good enough to show up, glove up and beat up George Kambosos Jr.

Ahhh, the self proclaimed 'boogie-man' who in reality, as proven last saturday, would be soundly pound upon by Lopez.

Great fight if it happens. Prograis wins by decision or late stoppage.

Prograis would surely get outclass, to slow, robotic and them wide punches would get him lit up.

Prograis said he wanted to avenge his loss with Taylor, now he wants Teofimo, but he signs with MatchRoom! I hate when fighters do that!!!

One thing should be made clear : the Taylor Teo fought was not the same Regis fought. For the rest, Rolly will look to cash in his belt to the highest bidder. And would be Garcia. Then Garcia will look to do the same. Haney who is looking to move up, will not risk fighting Teo or Prograis as of just yet. And yes, everyone will avoid Matias.
