Comments Thread For: Spence: 99% Of HOFers Die Broke, I Care About Huge Paydays, Legacy - P4P List Used To Mean Lot More

With wins against Mikey Garcia, Shawn Porter, Danny Garcia, Yordenis Ugas, Carlos Ocampo, Lamont Peterson, and Kell Brook over his last seven fights dating back to the beginning of his welterweight championship reign in 2017, Errol Spence Jr. has long been a mainstay in the top-ten and eventually top-five of almost every notable boxing observer's active pound-for-pound list.

End of the day, we do things for money
MFers who say differently either have a bunch of money or absolutely no way of obtaining a fortune and just speaking out of their dookeyhole.

PRIZEFIGHTING is what it's called and you can't deposit a title belt in your bank account.
You can pawn them and deposit the cash, though.

Life is about money and making as much as you can.
What a mug does with that money is where things go wrong.

A lot of money may never be enough with some people.

They once asked Sugar Ray Robinson why he was making a comeback, and he said"Well, to be honest, I need the money". If you want to get punched in your head for free, just start a fight at a local bar.

A lot of hall of famers made good money but made bad decisions. Spence has the right mindset about being financially literate. In boxing, fighting the best competition normally means making the most money.

This is the first time that I can see Spence being fine with losing to Crawford. It appears as though a pay day is more important.

Coming from the same guy who criticized Golovkin for taking a large DAZN contract and waiting for Canelo. Your typical hypocrisy shines through again.

Nah, he only cares about Haymon's interests otherwise he would've fought Bud in Saudi.

He may be thinking about multiple pay days. A reason for not wasting time with tune ups.
