Comments Thread For: Josh Taylor-Teofimo Lopez: Stats and Stakes

By Cliff Rold - The talking is done. For the defending champion, so is the wait. It's been well more than a year since Jr. welterweight king Josh Taylor was last seen in the ring. It was the worst night of his professional career. He suffered a knockdown, lost a point, and escaped by the skin of his teeth with his crown against Jack Catterall.

That’s a SICK ASS pic of the Tartan Tornado! It’s all in the eyes!! The man looks in shape focused and ready! He won’t have any excuses and I’m sure that’s just exactly how team Lopez want to face him, at his best and vice versa. Let the best man/team win!

Josh Taylor is so overrated, but he should Nick the decision tonight.

Why does Rold keep mentioning both fighters names almost every sentence?? I've noticed it's an American writer thing. Either the writer is a bit dumb, or he thinks the reader is.
The article is about Taylor fighting Lopez. You don't need to remind me every sentence. I'm not a stoned goldfish.

            Explain how he is overrated?

the man unified by winning a tournament and stripping the belt of each champion. Nobody says he is the best fighter in the world and since the catteral fight you can make the argument he is underrated considering his accolades

How long will Taylor remain undefeated?

Till Birnam Wood remove to Dunsinane.

Very solid card. Looking forward to the ME as well as the prospects. Lopez could land something big, but I expect JT to take a decision.

If Lopez wins, then he's really back, but if not, then not sure where he goes.

It also depends how close the fight may be, and how exciting.

Teofimo has better power than Taylor, so I'd say that's his advantage. The footwork and boxing is in Josh's advantage, but I think he's somewhat overrated too.

So Teo keeps lowering himself by mocking Taylor's accent. Didn't really have a dog in this fight, but now I hope Teo gets humbled!
