Between the weigh in and the fight, Williams put on 17 pounds. He was lethargic and lackadaisical in the fight, and he learned after that, how to properly cut weight, and rehydrate, without it affecting him physically.
Quintana came in with the wrong gameplan for the second fight and wanted to prove he could KO Williams. That is why Williams blew him out. If Quintana came in to box he would have given Williams another boxing lesson.

Look how Margarito earn his shots the hard way.

If Williams remacthed Quintana at WW, the fought a guy Luis Collazo, ect, ect, ect, ect, he woudl of been OK.

But since he thinks he is super and fight in every weight class, thats what ****ing him up.

He needs to stay at a weight class, because while he jumps from one to another, people will move the **** on, and since he hasnt beat anybody besides Margo, eh went get anything.

He needs to stop demanding stuff and actually earning it.

Like I said, if he would pf stayed at WW, and fought Quintana, Collazo, the lower ranking WWs, he would of had more leverage on things.

If he loses to Pavlik he is doomed!!!!

His frame allows him to jump weight classes.

He couldn't land a decent fight at welterweight, so he decided to move up to face Kolle, and see how he fared against bigger guys.

I do not believe that Williams is avoiding anyone in the 147 pound division. No one wants to fight this guy. Besides, after beating Quintana and Margarito, who wants to fight bottom of the bucket fighters for scraps?

I wouldn't which is why they went up in weight in search of bigger fights.

As far as the Pavlik fight, its a win-win for Paul, because he isn't just moving up to fight his first middleweight fight against some B-level opponent. He's moving up to fight for the Middleweight Title. That's insane! If he loses, then he lost moving up doing something amazing, but if he wins, that will be a great accomplishment for him.

The benefit of winning outweighs the risk of losing for Paul, IMO.

uintana schools his ass, simple as that!!!! if he was so badly weight drianed or whatever he would of got KTFO!!!

Williams cought uintana old in the rematch.

A 12 rounds UD proves way more than a 1 round KO, specially in this situation that uintana Schooled Williams prior to getting KTFO in 1!!
Agreed!!!! Williams got lucky in the second fight and Quintana came in with the wrong gameplan also.

          1. SO what that doesnt mean is the right thing to do.

          2. he wont fight top 10 WWs but he will fight Andy Kolle for what? Williams is a career MW, he dont need to see how he fair against MWs he already know, beccause he started his career as a MW.

3.Clottey, Quintana, Collazo, hell Zab ****ing Judah is a atleast a name. They just thought talk **** and trying ta create a false image of Williams being feared woudl get them fights and it backed fire.

4.Thats not Willias first fight at MW. And if he loses he is doomed for a while, because the WW picture is getting set without him and besides Pavlik theres nobody at MW. He will have to start from scratch at SWW!!!!!!

he needs to ear his **** before demanding anything

I don't see how you could see much of a game plan implemented in the 2nd fight. Quintana was cautious, and landed a few straight lefts, then got overwhelmed.

He wasn't being wild, or letting his hands go any more than he did in the first fight. Williams wasn't as aggressive in the first fight, and that was the difference.

Paul Williams has earned his shot. He beat some good fighters. **** if Hatton, earned a fight with Mayweather, and Clottey earned a fight with Mosley and Cotto, how the **** can P-Dubb get a fight with either of them.

Hatton was the undefeted JWW unified Lineal Champion with shot lots of ttle defenses and the former WBA WW champ when he fought Floyd.

When did Clottey fought Mosley? I must had missed something.

And the fight Clottey earn against Cotto, was because mosley refused to rematch Cotto and they needed a opponent and Clottey was the best WW available at the moment.

Williams doesnt even have a succesfull title defense. To fight the big dogs he needs to earn his ****!!!!

And if he beats Pavlik, he will have to stay at MW, because he wont get credit for fight WWs. SO WIlliams is kind of ****ed here!!!!!

I agree with you there Ch@mpBox@PR - But the problem here is - even though Willaims had the WBO belt none of the guys wanted the belt as long as he had it .... No one wanted to fight williams at WW ... So how can a guy earn his stripes when no one will sign on the dotted line?????

What Part of he could of fought Quintana, Collazo or Clottey dont you guys understand.

There people willing to fight him, he just wanted the big dogs, right away, and all those guys had bigger fishes to fry. hell he didnt wanted Margarito or a rematch, but as soon as margo beat Cotto, he was all over his nuts trying to fight hm. Why Williams doesnt he wants to fight Margo when he comes back, if he wanted him so badly.

You need to build your resume up first, you just cant start talking **** and claiming you been feared, when you have done nothing.

Williams needs to stay in a ****ing weight and start beating contenders and stuff, he needs to stop jumping from weight class to weight class, beating the Andy Kolles of the world and then start demanding ****!!
