Great fight only if Taylor didnt back peddle for the past 2 years and would have stepped it up. But he is young, but very green bad move for Taylor perhaps if he had a few more belts under his belt with a credible opponents name.

taylor isnt ready to fight hopkins, he has the physical skill but not the experience or the mind set. taylor hasn't fought anyone who has tested him, he's never been hurt or down, never been in a war, and never had anyone make him look bad or confused him. hopkins will beat him easily right now in his career. taylor would be set back 3 years if he fought hopkins right now, cause he'd lose in bad fashion. it's like the diaz vs castillo fight, diaz is good, but he wasn't ready to fight a solid veteran who is still at top of his game, the experience was overwhelming...same thing will happen to taylor. taylor neeeds to be in a war or have faced some adversity in the ring to help him get through a hopkins fight. he should fight guys that are gritty and guys that'll make him work....like Eastman, Sturm, Soliman, maybe someone from supermiddle weight. i'm just saying he needs more experience before the big test, otherwise he going to lose in bad fashion.........hopkins by 12 UD, dominating peformance...... (right now) seen it coming!

Taylor sounds like an excellent replacement for Hopkins. Young, talented, and great personality, perfect picture of a champ. He should have a nice reign as well.

I do not want Hopkins to be defeated by Jermaine Taylor nor do i think that jermaine is even ready for Hopkins but i do not want Taylor to become the future champion. I would really like to see hopkins' nephew move up he seems promising he has just been signed by golden boy promotions and he is undefeated. The only thing is he would have to move up a weight division from welterwieght to middleweight. His name is Demetrius Hopkins.

If this fight happens I think Jermaine will stop Hopkins. Hopkins has not looked very good in his last several fights. If Jermaine is agressive I think he will get a stoppage against Hopkins. Then Hopkins should retire, there is no shame in losing when your nearing 41 years of age.

those "analysts" saying that Jermaine is not ready for Hopkins are

I'd personally prefer to see Sturm v Hopkins. Its a better fight than a Taylor v Hopkins. Taylor is still 1 or 2 fights away from being competitive against hopkins. Taylor needs to step up the quality of opposition.

I'm the same opinion of yours.Sturm vs.Hopkins will be a fantastic bout.in the other hand Taylor is still young and needs some more experience cause Hopkins fight is clever & still strong
as his age. Before fighting Taylor I hope to see Hopkins fight Sturm,Tito(or Winky). Then last fight is vs. Taylor I hope.
That should be a histrical bouts in MiddleWeight histry .

I think Taylor can be a good match against B-hop. B-hop looks old now and it seems tome that he is winding down. While Taylor is younger and looks hungrier for wins. I got more excited with (taylor's) fight last 2/19 than B-hop's against eastman.
