He also showed it against Barerra, but Barerra did not come to fight, rather to survive. It's funny because If Pacquiao were to have lost a few rounds to Hatton or Oscar people would have been saying how great he was, but since he destroys them they call them overrated.Comment

I think pacquiaos "hand speed" is going to give Cotto alot of problems, he can throw punches in bunches at light speed and Cotto is not hard to hit... Pacquiao should fight him in a in-n-out style while continuing to turn him... I also believe Cottos power is overrated and Pacquiaos is underrated... Just wanna see a good fightComment

even funnier how they say Pac is a limited one dimensional brawler who can't box, yet these same people say his wins are overrated because Floyd already beat them.He also showed it against Barerra, but Barerra did not come to fight, rather to survive. Wouldn't those win be more impressive since a limited one dimensional brawler moved up in weight and dominated?Last edited by 2501; 09-30-2009, 12:13 PM.Comment

He probably would've got more props if he gave up a few rounds and made it look at least a little competitive. He also showed it against Barerra, but Barerra did not come to fight, rather to survive. If Pac wins, speed, elusiveness, better stamina, and full arsenal of punches would win it for him. And of course chin, cuz he ain't lastin 6 rds let alone winnin if he can't take Cotto's shots. That to me more than anything is the decidin factor.Comment

Well, cotto will be getting down to a weight he hasn't made in a long time. Many people who support Cotto's opponent will tell you that "it's only one or two pounds" from what Cotto weighed before.
Well, if one or two pounds isn't significant, then why did Team Pac INSIST that the fight be at 145? Why are Diaz and Malignaggi negotiating so much over 1.5 pounds? Examples abound.
I kinda wish that Pac would have taken the fight at 147. Especially since a title is at stake. In my eyes (and possibly my eyes only. Just an opinion.) a Pac win is tainted, as it is in the Delahoya win.Comment
