Comments Thread For: Guillermo Rigondeaux Gets New Opponent, Charlie Clemente, On Broner-Hutchinson Undercard

Guillermo Rigondeaux has a new opponent for his next ring outing. The former lineal junior featherweight champion will now face Puerto Rico's Charlie Clemente-Andino as part of a Don King-promoted Pay-Per-View event this Friday from Casino Miami Jai Alai in Miami, Florida. The scheduled ten-round bantamweight bout will serve in supporting capacity to the ten-round Adrien Broner-Bill Hutchinson welterweight main event.

Even if Rigondeaux is only 42, & personally I think you could add a few years, he can't have too much time left. Does he really need 'keeping busy fights'? The man can fight, & I don't think he'll ever forget how to fight. I'd just throw him in with a contender right now.

Charlie Clemente hasn't fought in seven years, what a garbage fight for the promoter's to make. This fight will do absolutely nothing for Guillermo Rigondeaux's career!

Why didn't he fight for 7 years?
          What's the story behind that?

Rigondeaux should start looking for another post-retirement career.

I heard he was having a blast cooking.
