The original Four Kings were historically great, and they weren't called The Four Kings until years after they retired. I keep hearing the term "Four Kings", but I'm not seeing any group of fighters the same quality as Leonard, Duran, Hearns, or Hagler. Remember when they were trying to make 135 into the new four kings, but none of them would fight each other? There will never be another Four Kings. It's just marketing trying to attach today's weak fighters to the greats of the past.

The only ones that came close to deserving that four king moniker were Pacquiao, MAB, Marquez, and Morales. Though they could be disqualified since we never got Morales V JMM, though I digress. It was ridiculous when the lightweights today were being called that, a group that included Ryan Garcia lmao. Even more laughable to to compare these bimbos (respect to Shields though) to the greats.
