So no, Cricket does not have greater global appeal than basketball and never has.

"Another popular sport with vast global reach, cricket, is a fantastic sport followed by about 2.5 billion fans, majorly from countries such as Australia, South Africa, Pakistan, New Zealand, and India."

As I explained to you, cricket is popular primarily in those handful of countries in Southeast Asia with huge populations. That's where the bulk of their participants and viewership come from. Kids start playing Cricket I'm Southeast Asia as young as age 10.

James Naismith was born in Canada, but moved to America at a young age. Basketball was developed by Naismith in Springfield, Massachusetts. Springfield, Massachusetts is in America. So once again, you are wrong. Basketball was always an American sport developed in America.

Why do you lie so much? Is it due to mental ret@rd@tion or a serious mental defect? Something is seriously wrong with you.
You don't know what a deflection is. Nor do you know the fact Cricket is viewed in more countries than Basketball is. It's played by more countries at the top level than Basketball too. You are wrong on everything. But you've accepted this which is why you're forced to go even crazier and try to antagonise. Up your game because it's straight shlte.

Where are my lies? Point them out to me.

List every country that plays Basketball at the top level? List the countries with the most viewing figures too. We'll then compare.

James Naismith who invented Basketball, was in fact Canadian. He was an adult when he moved over to the US. Not only that, but both his parents were Scottish. It's not surprising though as the Brits have invented the greatest and most played sports on a international level. I can see where he got it from. It certainly wasn't the US. It never is.

There are 213 men's national teams affiliated with FIBA. How many mens cricket teams are affiliated with a global sport governing body. I'll let you do the math. I think this debate is over.

"Basketball is a very popular sport played all around the world, though it is more popular in certain countries particularly the US where it was invented."

Cricket is considered second most popular sport in the world in pretty much any study, look it up. Only behind Football (soccer).

But that probably doesn't tell the full picture. The viewership is more condensed into a more limited amount of places, but including huge populations like India where its following is insane. China is fairly big in China to a degree but its not a national obsession like in India.

So I'd say the participation or viewership of basketball might be more evenly spread out across the world in a way. But any study you'll find will show Cricket is more popular in terms of pure numbers

I agree, but I was trying to explain to him that basketball is popular and viewed in far more countries than Cricket. It's not even close. Most of the cricket viewership and participation comes from a handful of countries with huge populations. India is about to pass China in population at 1.42 Billion. The only people who watch cricket in America are people from India, Pakistan, ****ladesh and the Caribbean. Americans will watch table tennis or bowling before they'd watch cricket.

Keep on twisting everything if you want. I'll just keep pointing it out to you. I asked if you knew that Cricket was viewed in more countries than Basketball. No once have you given anything to disprove that. I asked you to tell me how many countries play each sport at the top level. You have given nothing as an answer. What you have done, is listed 213 men's national teams. Is this international? No, it isn't. The topic is international viewers and competitors, not how many national teams there are. You idiot. I asked a specific question. Keep on deflecting and twisting it to get out of this all you want. But it won't work. Why? Because you're a moron and i'm not. That's your problem.

I presented the facts to you and you once again go on your little SPINNING EXPEDITION. No one outside of a small handful of heavily-populated countries and the Caribbean give AF about cricket. I don't walk past parks here and see people playing cricket. There are no major networks that carry the sport globally.

The only thing Brits have invented are pubs and taverns. Imbibing is a national sport there. In fact, you're probably hung over right now.

Naismith was Canadian, but he developed basketball on American soil. The 213 men's national teams are from countries that compete internationally, Einstein. The term national team itself implies international competition. It's sad that basic concepts have to be explained to you.

You should look into where Naismith came up with his idea's for Basketball.

Ok. Naismith was Canadian. He wasn't British. That's the point. And he developed basketball in America, not Canada.

I'll put an end to your brainless blathering once and for all with one question: How many countries have national cricket teams? 213 have national men's basketball teams.
